growth, renewal, and exhaustion

We made it to Spring, the pollen in Atlanta is in full force and everyone is OUTSIDE.

I hit the ground running in January and today everything came to a head and my body told me I needed a nap. I wrapped up work by 4p and hopped in bed and knocked out until 7p. Woke up, brewed some peppermint tea after straightening up a few items and now my thoughts feel more in place.

The most recent new Moon in Pisces energy has felt so fluid for me. I’m used to structure and being routine driven but I’m scaling up when it comes to ease into flo brand awareness and that requires a lot of planning, researching, pitching, taking on additional meetings on top of my full time job, while still maintaining consistency with movement, nutrition, and content. Hence why I’m probably writing a Blog post today because I needed a pause on youtube for a week. Even though I’m momentarily ceasing on one part I still have to keep the overall train moving.

My Substack algorithm has literally been pointing the finger at me lately. I’ve been reading a lot about the Identity Gap and the messy middle when it comes to where you’re no longer who you used to be, but not yet who you’re meant to be. In addition, how daunting it can feel when you realize how far you have to go to get to that North Star. The version of you working towards the goal, and the version of you who actually has it, aren’t the same person.

I do feel a strong disconnect of who I used to be and old habits, I’m grateful for the growth. In a renewed sense, I’m realizing that closing that Identity Gap comes with a side of exhaustion. Which I have the capacity for and to call it day on the days when I don’t.

It’s honestly a privilege to be exhausted when it comes to your passion and dreams as opposed to circumstances out of your control. I acknowledge that. Tasks will be in flux, certain things will have to wait for tomorrow, time with loved ones will take priority to prevent me from feeling isolated, and scheduling joy will be at the forefront of what I’m building to close that gap.
