anti-aging and glutathione

My energy levels felt high this month. Even with winter having no near end in sight, less sunlight, and no post Holiday Blues. I hosted my first ever private yoga group for the year on top of a really big work project that came down, stayed on top of workouts and routines. I honestly cannot complain about January 2026 (even-though it’s currently snowing in Atlanta).

While practicing moments of stillness in December I found myself deep diving into Dermatology blogs and Newsletters and of course anti-aging is one of my favorite research topics to learn about. Glutathione: a master antioxidant that is a tripeptide; plays an important role in detoxification, immune system support, DNA Repair, and protects cells from oxidative stress. Our body naturally produces this in the liver and can be found in sulfur rich foods: Garlic, Onions, and Broccoli. Glutathione helps slow down aging by fighting free radicals. On top of repairing damaged cells, it also contributes to the production of new cells. A poor diet, smoking, pollution, and stress can deplete the production that’s needed to support the overall body.

Turmeric also contains glutathione, which I also included in my batch of juices to support my immunity. I ended up purchasing a liposomal glutathione in liquid form earlier in the month so I’m definitely getting an extra boost. Everything in moderation though. In addition: watermelon, red peppers, avocado, and tomatoes support our bodies to increase production of glutathione.

So I am looking forward to future grocery shopping trips when spring and summer comes for in-season produce.
